AirPods Pro 3

Why we like them: The noise cancellation is a clear step up from the AirPods Pro 2 (good enough to finally wear while cooking), and you also get excellent mics and Transparency Mode, a more comfortable fit, and 8 hours of battery with ANC on. The big catch is that after a few weeks, the ANC on both pairs we tested developed a hollow, ocean-like background noise, which toggling Transparency Mode temporarily fixes.

When to buy: We said to wait for a price drop on these, so if you want AirPods and you see them discounted, that’s a good time to grab them. If noise cancellation is your top priority, the Sony WF-1000XM6 is the one we’d still pick. Watch our Sony WF-1000XM6 review.
Roborock Saros 10R and Z70
“They probably save me at least an hour a week, considering they not only vacuum but mop.”

Why we like them: Cleaning has been excellent on both carpet and hard floors; the spinning mop brushes beat the vibrating pads on older Roborocks, and navigation is good enough that they dodge almost every cord. Both can finish two cleaning runs on a single charge.

When to buy: In the review, we said the Z70 only made sense if the robotic arm didn’t add much to the price. When the two are priced close together, the arm is close to a free novelty. Just know the Z70 has a smaller onboard dust bin, and the 10R’s roller brush should still clean a little better.
iPhone Air and the MagSafe Battery
“After six months, I don’t think I’d ever go back to carrying a heavier phone just for battery headroom I rarely need.”

Why we like it: At 165 g, it’s the lightest, thinnest iPhone we’ve used, Ceramic Shield 2 has held up for months without a screen protector, and battery life has been all-day for light to moderate use. It’s been our favorite iPhone in years.

When to buy: If you can find the iPhone Air (including renewed models) and the iPhone Air MagSafe Battery discounted, that’s exactly the pairing we recommended if you travel a lot or won’t always be near a charger.
M5 MacBook Air
Why we like it: Apple’s build quality, one of our favorite keyboards to type on, MagSafe 3, and battery life that’s lived up to Apple’s 15 hour rating. It even handled 4K video editing without a stutter.

When to buy: A discount on either size is a real cut on a new model, and with RAM prices where they are, we wouldn’t count on it getting much better. And if you’re tempted by the 70W charger upgrade, our advice from the review still stands: put that money toward the Anker 4-port charger instead.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
Why we like it: Class-leading battery life (it’s lasted over two days on a charge multiple times), 75% in 30 minutes fast charging, performance that smashes the Pixel 11 Pro in benchmarks, and a Privacy Display that actually works as advertised.

When to buy: In the review, we noted it regularly goes on sale, and it dropped even lower during June’s Prime Day, but with Apple’s recent price increase, we wouldn’t count on it getting much cheaper. Note that some colors, like Pink Gold, are Samsung.com exclusives.
