If you want to fall asleep with your earbuds in but you’ve been frustrated with them falling out or not being comfortable, I’ve been testing the OSA Sleep Buds for the past 6 months, and I think these would be a really good product for people where earplugs just don’t work and you like the idea of being able to wear earbuds to sleep. These Sleep Buds can play white noise, nature sounds, plus you can stream podcasts, music, or anything else you want from your phone right to the buds.
For the nights I’ve worn them, they felt comfortable, but during the 6-month testing period, I also realized that I’m just not the right type of person for this product. I found the nature sleep sounds a bit distracting when trying to get to sleep. A lot of the times, I’d forget to charge the Sleep Buds, and then they’d be dead when I’d want to use them, and you really need to keep their case plugged in on your bedside table all of the time.
Like earplugs, they also give you a plugged ear feeling. They don’t have a vent like other earbuds do to combat this. The noise cancellation works well, though note it’s passive noise cancellation, not active noise cancellation like you find on most high-end buds. I mostly kept them in their noise cancellation mode, but at that point, that’s when I realized—wait, earplugs are just as effective at blocking out noise like a partner snoring as these, and they’re cheaper, and you don’t have to remember to charge them.
But if you already like to fall asleep with buds in and you just want them to be more comfortable, especially if you’re a side sleeper, then I think you should take a look at getting the OSA Sleep Buds.
